While the best of the winter teams and athletes were continuing through postseason competition, spring high school sports practices officially got underway around the state Monday.
Practices have started for baseball, softball, boys and girls lacrosse, boys and girls track and field, boys volleyball and boys tennis.
Teams were allowed to begin scrimmaging Saturday.
The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association allows for regular-season boys tennis matches as early as Monday.

The other sports cannot move into regular-season action until March 23.
