Brandon Matthews is beginning to make a habit of strong finishes on the Web.com Tour.
The former Pittston Area state high school champion golfer shot a final round 66 and a 15-under-par, 72-hole score for the second straight week to post his best effort of the season May 24-27 with a tie for seventh at the Nashville Golf Open.
Matthews shot 70-70-67-66—273 to earn $17,141.67. His biggest payday to date in his first full season and second season overall on the tour moved Matthews up to 46th on the tour money list with $53,668.
The 23-year-old from Dupont leads the tour with an average of 337.4 yards per drive.
