EXETER — The 72nd annual John A. Allan Invitational, the largest member-guest event of the season at Fox Hill Country Club, is scheduled for Friday through Sunday.
A total of 24 teams will take the course Friday in medal play, qualifying for the 16 berths in four rounds of match play Saturday and Sunday.
The eight teams that fall short of the Championship Flight will complete in separate medal play events Saturday and Sunday.
Fox Hill general manager/COO Shane Bradley announced the format for the tournament.
There are 78 other teams entered into flights competition that will feature match play all three days.
The flight winners will all advance to a Shootout Sunday afternoon right after the championship match takes the course.
Estimated starting times are 2 to 2:30 pm. for the championship match and 2:30 to 3 p.m. for the Shootout.
Two rounds of match play Saturday will trim the Championship Flight to four teams. The semifinals are scheduled for Sunday morning.
