DOVER, D.E. — Wyoming Area’s Dominic DeLuca and Jake Switzer were part of the Team Pennsylvania squad that produced a series of comebacks to win the boys title at the Maverick National Lacrosse Classic July 16-19 in Dover, Del.

There were a total of four Wyoming Valley Conference players on the Pennsylvania team that earned a chance to represent the United States in international title with the victory. Anthony Caporuscio from Crestwood and John Betzko from Dallas joined the two Wyoming Area players.

The title in the tournament among state all-star teams was the first ever for Pennsylvania.

The players will turn in their Team Pennsylvania uniforms to play as Team USA against Canada in Florida in December.
