Branley finished the 3.1-mile course in 18:21.
Returning state medalist Mitchell Rome from Dallas, which beat the same three opponents as Wyoming Area, finished first in 17:35. Branley was two seconds out of second place.

Pittston Area went 1-2 on the day, beating Wyoming Seminary, 20-41, while losing to Dallas, 23-32.
The Patriots had Dom Angradi and David Bulford finish sixth and seventh. Nate Ridgley was 10th.
Wyoming Area placed five runners in the top 12.
Grant Smith was eighth, Nick Katulka ninth, Kyle Emsley 11th and Jacob Katulka 12th.
Pittston Area’s Nicole Zambetti was third and Wyoming Area’s Aubrianna Marranca was fifth in the girls meet.

Marissa Gabituso and Shawna Rodzinak were ninth and 10th for Pittston Area.
The Dallas combination of Kaitlyn Hodakowski and Megan Borton finished first and second, just a second apart.
