“We want to keep making steps. Our goal is to improve on where we were last year, get that first playoff win and keep heading in the right direction.”

“It’s always important for senior leaders to take ownership in the young guys who might make a mistake or even if the older guys make a mistake. You can’t be afraid to speak up and fix the patches.”

COACH NICK BARBIERI

Week 1 vs. Nanticoke

“We were fortunate with the turnovers they made.”

COACH NICK BARBIERI

Week 3 vs. Tunkhannock

“We’ll take a win. We’re not going to turn away a win when we can get one, but not a great effort. Defensively, we did a little better. We’re still pretty susceptible to the run, but when you get four turnovers, that will help.”

TB DYLAN LUKACHKO

Week 3 vs. Tunkhannock

“I couldn’t have done it without my line.”

COACH NICK BARBIERI

Week 4 vs. Dallas

“Offensively, I thought that was our best game, but we do have to clean up those mistakes. They converted on fourth down on two drives, and that’s the difference in the game; we didn’t convert. So, we match them with converting on fourth downs, I think we’re in the game right until the end.”

COACH NICK BARBIERI

Week 5 vs. Coughlin

“The way they were slanting, Jordan is very good at cutting the ball back. He found a few creases and ran the ball very well for us.”

QB ALEX ANASTASI

Week 5 vs. Coughlin

“I just wanted to get out there. I wanted to show my talents, but I was just waiting on my opportunity. When I got it, I wanted to make the best of it.”

COACH NICK BARBIERI

Week 7 vs. Williamsport

“I’m so proud of the way the kids played. That’s a great football team, and we’ve been struggling running the ball and we ran it very well. We’ve been struggling defensively, and with the exception of that last drive I thought we played well defensively.”

COACH NICK BARBIERI

Week 8 vs. Scranton Prep

“That was the worst game we played all year after probably playing our best game last week. We made more mistakes in this game than we did in the first seven weeks of the season.”
