Olivia Borys won all four of her events Tuesday when Wyoming Area completed the Wyoming Valley Conference girls swimming season on a winning note, beating visiting Lake-Lehman, 101-51.

The win was the first under first-year head coach Ken Bryden and snapped a 38-meet losing streak for the program since a win over Meyers late in the 2016-17 season.

Borys won the 100-yard freestyle in 1:02.02 and the 200 freestyle in 2:19.79. She also led off the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams.

Sofia Sabatini, who won the 100 backstroke in 1:28.36, and Julia Crane, who won the 50 freestyle in 28.30 seconds, were also part of both relay wins.

Hyzinski won in 50 seconds.

The Warriors took advantage of four forfeits to finish the dual meet portion of the schedule with a 6-14 record.

Morgan Janeski scored 22 points and Wyoming Area dominated the boards while defeating host MMI Prep in Monday’s WVC Division 2 finale.

Janeski had 11 points in the third quarter when the Lady Warriors broke the game open, stretching a 23-17 lead to 40-23.

Cassidy Orzel grabbed 11 rebounds, Maria Amato nine and Mackenzie Nocchi eight.

The win allowed the Lady Warriors to finish tied for third in the division.

Nanticoke built a 34-22 lead through three quarters, then used 11 of Riley Baird’s 19 points in the fourth quarter to hold on for the home-court victory Feb. 8 in the WVC Division 1 finale for both teams.

Emma Coles led Pittston Area with 19 points, including nine in the fourth-quarter comeback.

Coles was 5-for-5 and the Lady Patriots were 9-for-9 from the line in the fourth quarter.

Nicole Zambetti hit two 3-pointers in the fourth-quarter comeback while Kallie Booth made one along with two free throws.

Hannah Getz also made two fourth-quarter free throws to finish with 10 points.

Logan Booth scored 24 points and the defense came back strong from giving up 80 points in a loss to Crestwood two nights earlier.

The Patriots allowed just 22 points through three quarters while building a 20-point lead.

J.J. Walsh and Brennan Higgins each added 10 points. Andrew Kracwzyk had eight.
