Whether starting or coming off the bench, Wyoming Area graduate Katie Wolfgang is playing an increasing role on the Marywood University women’s basketball team since returning to the sport for the start of this season.

Wolfgang, a 5-foot-8 guard, moved into the Marywood starting lineup for six games in January. Coming off the bench since then, she has played 22 or more minutes in three of the five games.

It was in her latest role as a key substitute in the team’s rotation that Wolfgang needed just 18 minutes of a fast-paced, 103-75 loss to Gwynedd-Mercy to post the first double-double of her college career with 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Wolfgang led the Pacers in rebounding in the game.
