The annual Care Walk to support Cooley’s Anemia Foundation will be staged Sunday, April 27, at Hughestown Hose Company and Banquet Hall, Center Street, Hughestown.
Registration is at 10 a.m. with the walk commencing at 11 a.m.
Food, refreshments, a 50/50, raffle baskets and entertainment by Optimum will follow.
“Cooley’s Anemia Foundation has accomplished a tremendous amount over the past few years all because of the support and involvement of people like you,” said Kristy DeRome Gomberg, organizer of the walk. “The more people who join us in the fight, the more we are able to accomplish. We are asking for your support in the form of a monetary donation, gift card or basket. Your donation allows the Cooley’s anemia foundation to continue the work to help find a cure.”
Gomberg said the event also raises awareness about thalassemia and helps families that have been affected by this disease.
Those unable to participate but interested in making a donation may do so.

All donations will be recognized at the event and in publicty, Gromberg said.
