The students and faculty at Holy Rosary recently took part in a pep rally that honored members of currently active sports teams which include basketball and cheerleading.
The junior varsity cheerleaders performed cheer musical dance routines followed by the varsity cheerleaders performing choreographed cheers of their own.
Afterwards, the eighth grade was split up and the students competed against one another in a game of “knock out.” The game is played by one person taking a shot. If they make a basket, they move to back of the line. If they miss, they keep shooting until they make a basket, but the next person in line begins to shoot with the first player. It goes on like this until there is only one player left shooting.
This year, the girls made so many baskets that the time ran out and there was not a winner. For the boys, Michael Skutack won the distinction of winning knock out and Michael Mucciolo came in second place.
