Michael Barney
Michael Barney, of Pittston, is the son of Christine and James Barney. Barney’s favorite movie is Captain Phillips, he loves the band Reverse, and his favorite song is “Some Kind of Wonderful.”
Barney has an appetite for Italian treats, including his favorite, the cannoli. Despite his sweet tooth, he takes care of himself by being on the dive and soccer teams.
If Barney could teach any class, it would no doubt be biology. He says his best friends are Julian, Brandon, and Cody, and they helped make his high school experience “gnarly.”
Trina Rafalko
Trina Rafalko, of Pittston, is the daughter of Ronald Rafalko and Elizabeth Hummel. Her favorite teachers are Mrs. Vincelli and Mrs. Pietras. She loves high school football games, and her idol is Katy Perry.
Rafalko’s favorite subject is psychology, and she wants to go to college and study it and maybe even become a psychology teacher, and give out all the presentations she hated so much during high school.
Rafalko summed up her high school experience as fun, but she looks forward to being an adult for one reason: freedom to be who, what, and live how she wants.
Joshua (Jay) A. Wright
Joshua (Jay) A. Wright, lives in Pittston with his mom and sisters who lives by the mantra, “You can’t choose where you come from, but you can choose where you go.” He has many hobbies including boxing, football, basketball, baseball, running track, singing, dancing, writing, and even poetry.
After graduation, Wright plans to continue boxing, and get into college to take business courses, and perhaps get his bartender’s and barber’s licenses as well. His ultimate goal would be to move to the city and open a nightclub. He considers his closest friends to be William McGrade, Josh Maniscalco, and Selena Hernandez.
Wright considers himself to be a realist about certain things, and as an adult one thing he looks forward to is making mistakes so he can learn and better himself after every one he makes.
