JTD Phillies 6, West Pittston One 2
Joe Slusark struck out 11 batters and issued no walks in JTD’s win over West Pittston on Sunday, April 19. Slusark also hit a two-run single to help his cause.
Matt Prociak, John Stone and Luke Galli each contributed big hits in the game. Nick Ceresaro and Jacob Black led the defense.
Pittston Township Capozucca 10, JTD Pirates 9
Capozucca Brothers used a 16-hit attack to secure a 10-9 walk-off win over the Jenkins/Duryea Pirates.
Nick Sciandra smacked the game-winning two-oud double, scoring Matt Cocco from first base. Drew DeLucca, Anthony Cencetti, Steve Sciandra, Mark Ranielli, Ryan Turant and Eddie Murdoch each notched two hits in the win.
Pittston Township Burgundy 7, Pittston City Athletics 5
PJ Pisano hit a game-tying home run and Andrew Gallie’s three-run home run helped Pittston Township pull away from Pittston City in the fifth inning.
Pittston’s Cole Ferrante was 2-for-3 2ith a double and triple. The Township’s Josh Baiera was 3-for-4.
Pittston Township Burgundy 12, JTD Pirates 2
Andrew Gallia had four hits, while Josh Baiera and Pat Bennie had three in the township’s win over Jenkins/Duryea.
PJ Pisano, Baiera and Bennie each had doubles in the win. Gallia was the winning pitcher in the five-inning affair.
Pittston City Athletics 12, Pittston City Red Sox 2
The Pittston City Athletics belted 19 hits to 10-run the Pittston City Red Sox.
For the Athletics, Ethan Ghannan and Nikki Dennis each had three hits. Cole Ferranti had four hits in the win, including a double. Dennis, Ghannam and Ferranti had doubles. Red Sox Steve Yanchis had a double.
Exeter Nationals 8, West Pittston Pugliese 3
The Exeter Nationals got a strong pitching performance from Jesse Mikoliczyk, Jack Mathis and Drew Mruk in a win over West Pittston.
John Morgan had three hits, including a triple, while Casey Noone provided two singles and a double. Mikoliczyk and Rocco Pizano each help carry the hit parade. John Morgan made a nice defensive play in foul territory to help preserve the win.
West Pittston Moose 13, Exeter Nationals 3
West Pittston Moose proved to be too much power as they topped the Exeter Nationals, 13-3.
Drew Mruk, Casey Noon and John Morgan pitched for Exeter. Jack Mathis, John Morgan, Mruk and Jonah Astolfi led the hitting attack for the Nationals.
Exeter Nationals 15, Pittston City Red Sox 4
John Morgan’s three singles helped Exeter rattle the Pittston City Red Sox, 15-4.
Jonah Astolfi had a double, while Jack Mathis, Jesse Mikoliczyk, Matt Pelleschi, Nico Sciandra and Logan Dominick each had a hit a piece. Casey Noone led the way on the mound for Exeter.
West Pittston One 7, Exeter Nationals 3
West Pittston 1 took down the Exeter Nationals, 7-3. The Nationals were led by John Morgan’s two hits, including a triple.
JTD Pirates 8, Pittston City Red Sox 2
Brayden Powers struck out 10 batters to lead the Pirates past the Red Sox.
David Behm smacked a home run for the Pirates, while Matt Macaluso and Brandon Kelly each had a single and a double.
