Sweetheart Bingo is Feb. 8
The Wyoming Area senior parents of 2015 are holding a Sweetheart Bingo at 12 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8 at the Wyoming Area High School Cafeteria. Tickets are $20 per person and available from a senior class member, Signatures Salon, Lolliposh Clothing and Gifts and at the door. Seating is limited. Refreshments available. There will be a Bake Sale, plenty of prizes and 50/50 basket raffle. Follow the Facebook page Sweetheart Bingo. Proceeds benefit Wyoming Area class of 2015.
Scholarship deadline is Feb. 11
Wyoming Area seniors and their parents are reminded that the absolute deadline for handing in scholarship applications to Mrs. Rabel for the scholarships that can be found on the school web site is Wednesday, Feb. 11. No applications will be accepted after that date.
This year this program was launched in very early November. Several meetings with seniors were held since then explaining the program.
Seniors/parents with questions/concerns should call Mrs. Rabel or the guidance counselors at 570-655-2836. Students can also see Mrs. Rabel, their guidance counselor, Mr. Lulewicz or Mrs. Kleplado with any questions/concerns. All this must be done before the deadline of Feb. 11.
Key club to host talent show Feb. 21
The Wyoming Area Key Club will be hosting a talent show at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Wyoming Area auditorium. The event is open to the public. Admission to the event will be $5 and food will be sold. The proceeds will go to Relay for Life (the American Cancer Society).
There will also be a basket raffle to benefit a 13-year-old student at Wyoming Area who is currently in treatment to fight Ewing Sarcoma. The Wyoming Area Key Club will be accepting monetary donations or raffle items to help make this event possible.
Any students in grades 7-12 from any school are welcome to audition. Auditions will be held in the Wyoming Area cafeteria from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 3.
