STATE COLLEGE — Mia Mattioli, of Hershey, will be graduate on Sunday, May 17 from Penn State College of Medicine with her Medical Doctorate.
Mattioli, 28, was a student in the Wyoming Area School District before moving to Florida where she graduated from Winter Haven Senior High School in 2005. She then attended Barnard College of Columbia University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2009.
Mattioli matriculated into medical school in 2011 and will begin her residency this July in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. She plans to continue on to fellowship in Hematology/Oncology.
Mattioli is the daughter of Bridget (Ristagno) Fulkerson, of Winter Haven, FL, and Mark Mattioli, of Exeter. She is the granddaughter of Martha Ristagno, of Forty Fort, and Vera Mattioli, of Exeter.
