YATESVILLE — Ten local high school students working under the umbrella of Junior Leadership Wilkes-Barre recently organized “The Warrior Challenge,” where about 40 different participants battled a two-mile long obstacle course at Pittston Area High School’s Charley Trippi Stadium. The event benefited the Wounder Warrior Project.

The course was fashioned to resemble armed forces basic training exercises.

The first seven finishers received gift cards, which the students solicited from local business sponsors during the past few weeks. Kyle Petroski lead the list of the first seven, followed by Seth Johnson, Anthony Macko, Darren Clarke, Bettsy Macko, Eric Petroski and Sami Sharon.
