PITTSTON — Frugal Living: The unclaimed property search for this month is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 12. Come to the library any time that evening and we will do a search for money for you on the database. If there is any money to claim we will print the forms and make any copies you may need. This is a free service offered to the public.

The Science Club for kids in grades 2 to 5 will meet at 4 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 22. We will perform fun experiments using simple scientific methods.

January Teen Reading Lounge meetings will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24. Teen Reading Lounge, or TRL, is an interactive book club for teens in grades 6-12. Each month we will focus on a new book and engage in fun activities based on the book. The best part is that teens get to keep their own copy of the book. Registration is necessary. Grandparents Raising Grandchildren support group meets each month. Come meet others that are raising their grandchildren to share stories and gain support at Noon on Monday, Jan. 26.

The grandparents coalition will meet at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20 at the library.

Teen Advisory Group will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12. New members are welcome! TAG members are considered volunteers of the library and help plan teen library events. Some past TAG sponsored events are game nights, library flash mobs, scavenger hunts, and Wii Game Fests. TAG is open to all teens in Grades 6-12. New members are welcome.

The Adult Book Club will resume in January. The group is reading “Life After Life” and copies are available through the Luzerne County Library System.

Kids ages 3 to 11 are invited to the Lego Club, which is held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday.

Homework help is offered from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday.

Family Story Time for children of all ages is held at 10 a.m. each Wednesday. Toddler Story Time for children ages 2 to 3 is held at 10 a.m. every Tuesday. Pre-K Storytime for children 3 to 5 is held at 11:30 a.m. every Tuesday. Call the library to register.

Homework help is offered from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for children in grades 1-5. All subjects are available.

The Crochet Club meets at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and 5 p.m. on Thursdays. The club donated a large basket of handmade items to be raffled off this month. Tickets are $1.
