WYOMING — Pre-school story time for children between ages 3-5 will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Feb. 22 at the Wyoming Free Library. Story time will also be held during the same time the following Sundays in March: March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.
The Wyoming Free Library Lego Club will meet from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 28. This program is free and suitable for children of all ages. Registration is required.
The library will hold a discussion group during the upcoming season of “Downton Abbey.” The discussion group meets at 4 p.m. every Monday. The final discussion will meet on Saturday, March 2 with a special Downton tea closing out the season five event.
The library will hold a Lego build contest from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 14 in which groups of three builders with varying skill level will compete to complete creations using their own imagination or instructions. Building challenges will be timed and prizes will be awarded. There is no cost for the program; however registration is required. Call 570-693-1364 to reserve your spot. The library is hosting a children’s art exhibition from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 26. The exhibition is open to artists in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. More information can be found on the library webpage or Facebook page.
Upcoming events for the library’s monthly themed Tea, Tips and Treasures parties include Musical Instruments on Saturday, March 21 and Nature Day on Saturday, April 18. Children ages 3 and up may attend. There is no cost for the program and an adult must stay with the child. Contact the library for any information and to sign up. Children must be signed up one week prior to the programs.
The Adult Book Club meets at the library at noon on the second Wednesday of each month. Join us for great books and fun conversations. Feel free to bring lunch and suggestions for up coming books. We also occasionally meet at a restaurant.
