Spagnuolo presents in Australia
Misericordia University graduate student Tia Spagnuolo, Wyoming, as part of a faculty-student research team, recently presented two research studies at the 7th Estill World Voice Symposium, “Your Voice: From the Inside Out,” in Melbourne Australia.
Cari M. Tellis, Ph.D., C.C.C.-S.L.P., associate professor of speech-language pathology at Misericordia University, and graduate students Spagnuolo, and Erin Roberts of Perkiomenville, presented a one-hour talk on how Misericordia researchers use Near Infrared Spectroscopy to identify areas of the brain that are involved in training the voice. The research applies to how people with and without voice disorders can learn voice techniques that can improve their voice.
Talerico earns degree
James Talerico, of Exeter, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Talerico of Old Forge, was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Thomas Edison State College. Talerico is a senior solutions associate at Prudential Retirement in Moosic.
Kamor named to dean’s list
Jonathon Kamor of Duryea was named to the dean’s list of Kutztown Univerity for the 2014 fall semester. A Secondary Education History major, Kamor attained a grade point average of 3.67. He is a graduate of Pittston Area High School.

To be named to the dean’s list, students must earn a minimum 3.4 grade point average and carry at least 12 credits.
