Dr. Gabriella Marie Lucarelli and Dr. Anthony Joseph Scarnato, together with their families, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rinaldo and Deborah Lucarelli, of Bear Creek, and Joseph and Valerie Thier, of Dunmore. She is the granddaughter of Ethel and the late Valentine Delia, of Pittston; Janet Lucarelli, of Kingston; the late Rinaldo Lucarelli Sr., of Laflin; and Rosemary and the late Leonard Thier, of Scranton.

Dr. Lucarelli is a 2005 graduate of Scranton Preparatory School. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Bradenton Florida in 2012 and is currently employed as a pharmacist with Rite Aid.

The prospective groom is the son of Patricia and the late Michael Scarnato, of Moosic. He is the grandson of Evelyn and the late Anthony Scarnato, of Old Forge and Joseph and Andrea Craig, of Moosic.

Dr. Scarnato is 2005 graduate of Riverside High School. He earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wilkes University in 2012 and is currently employed as a pharmacist with CVS.

The couple will exchange vows Sept. 5, 2015 at the Scranton Cultural Center, Scranton. They currently reside in Old Forge with their chocolate lab, Aldo.
