WEST WYOMING — Incumbent council members Eileen Cipriani and Gary Stavish are seeking re-election to the West Wyoming Borough Council.
Eileen Cipriani
Cipriani, of Washington Avenue, has served as council chairperson.
Cipriani received a bachelor of science degree from Bloomsburg University and a master’s degree in organizational management from Misericordia University.
A lifelong resident of West Wyoming, she has been active in the Little League, serving as the league president. She is also active in the community, serving as a member of the West Side Council of Governments, West Side Trail Commission, West Wyoming Borough Shade Tree Commission, Hicks/Abrahams Creeks Study Technical Advisory Committee, and founding member of the Abrahams Creek Watershed Association. She also serves on the board of directors for Court Appointed Special Aadvocates (CASA) of Luzerne County and is a member of the Wyoming Area Kiwanis.
Cipriani is the daughter of Patricia Tracy, of West Wyoming, and the late Malcolm Tracy. She is married to Joseph Cipriani. They have two sons, David and Michael.
Gary Stavish
Stavish, of West Sperling Street, currently serves as council vice chairman. He is a lifelong resident of West Wyoming, a graduate of Wyoming Area High School and Allied Medical and Technical School.
He is a member of St. Monica’s Parish, member of the Abrahams Creek Watershed Association, former member of the West Wyoming Recreation Board and the West Wyoming Zoning Board. He currently serves on the board of directors at Baywatch Condominium Association and Heron Harbour Isle Recreation Board, Ocean City, Maryland.
Stavish and his wife Michelle, have two children, Gary Jr. and Elise. He is the son of the late Raymond and Agnes Stavish, of West Wyoming.
