PITTSTON — The Pittston City Police Department is warning all city residents of individuals posing as representatives of the Internal Revenue Service. These subjects are contacting individuals via telephone and advising them that they owe back taxes. The subjects also are requesting individuals’ banking information and demanding large sums of money or the individuals will be arrested.
The Pittston City Police Department is requesting all individuals who are contacted not to provide any personal information and to report these incidents to the Pittston City Police Department at 570-654-2425 or by calling 911.
