Holy Rosary School introduces the eighth-grade cheerleaders as they begin their final cheer season.
Rosalie Bennie is the daughter of Jim and Maryanne Bennie, of Pittston Twp. She has three siblings, Nick, Patrick and Jacqueline. Her favorite books are “The Hunger Games Trilogy” series and she enjoys cheerleader, cross country and soccer. After graduation, Rosalie plans to attend Holy Cross High School.
Brooke Costanzo resides in Pittston Twp. with her parents, Marissa and James Costanzo. She is involved in cheerleading, gymnastics, piano, soccer, National History Day and is an altar server for her parish. She enjoys shopping, hanging out with her friends and family and following the Philadelphia Flyers. Brooke plans to attend Pittston Area High School next year.
Gianna DeSanto, daughter of John and Lynn DeSanto, resides in Duryea with her parents, brother Josh and their dog Kohl. Gianna’s favorite hobbies include cheerleading, listening to music, playing piano as well as going to the movies and hanging out with her friends. Gianna has studied dance since the age of 3 and has recently become a member of the junior dance company for Symmetry at her dance studio. Gianna plans to continue her cheer and dance when she enters high school.
Alexis Evans (Lexie), daughter of Amanda Chase, resides in Old Forge and has two sisters, Lana and Olivia. In addition to cheerleading, Alexis is also involved in the Holy Rosary School Choir. Her favorite band is One Direction and she loves to sing, dance, cheer and have fun with her friends. Alexis plans to atend Holy Cross High School afler graduation.
Gianna Galli resides in Pittston Twp. with her parents, Tammy and Peter, brother Louis and her bunny Thumper. In addition to cheerleading, Gianna is involved in dance, soccer, piano, National History Day and is an altar server for her parish. She loves shopping, spending time with her family and friends and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. Gianna plans to attend Pittston Area ater graduation.
Olivia Johnson, daughter of Linda and Robert Johnson, resides in Yatesville with her parents and brother Matthew. Her favorite singer is Carrie Underwood and she loves to dance, cheer, listen to music and spend time with her family and friends. Olivia plans to attend Pittston Area after graduation.
Alyssa Kornish resides in Duryea with her parents, Richard and Dina Kornish. She always finds time for reading or shopping. Alyssa enjoys cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, soccer, swimming and biking. After graduation, she plans to attend Holy Cross High School.
Ceci Newhart, daughter of Anne and Paul Newhart, resides in West Pittston with her parents, sister Claire, brother Danny, and her dog Phoebe. Her favorite band is Maroon 5 and she loves to cheer, sing and take photos. Ceci plans to attend Scranton Prep or Wyoming Seminary after graduation.
Kayla Stelma, daughter of Pam Mahasky and Steve Stelma, resides in Duryea with her family, including her two sisters Kalli and Karli. Kayla enjoys cheerleading and spending time with her family and friends. She actively competes in golf and soccer with the Stoners. She was recently accepted to Scranton Prep but is also considering Holy Cross after graduation.
