Rose (Polit) Medico, of West Pittston, died May 15, 2009, at home. She was the wife of the late William F. Medico, who passed away in 1972.
Born in Pittston, on March 8, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Maria (Pirelli) Ippolito and Salvatore Ippolito.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary DelPriore; son-in-law, Santo Volpe Jr.; sisters, Mary Giamusso, Catherine Borzell, Josephine Amico; brothers, Patrick Polit, Charles Polit, Anthony Polit.
Surviving are daughters, Kathleen Gaudiano, Maitland, FL; Tina Volpe, Jenkins Township; sons-in-law, Salvador Gaudiano, Knoxville, TN, and Ralph DelPriore, Alpine, NJ; grandchildren, Dorothea Volpe, Rosemary Gribbin, Judy George, Santo Volpe, Nicole Albright, Ralph DelPriore Jr., Elizabeth DelPriore; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Jason and Katie George, Patrick and Molly Gribbin; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were May 19 from the Graziano Funeral Home, Pittston Twp., with a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church, West Pittston. Entombment Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
