Announcement is made of the engagement and upcoming marriage of Amy Thomas and Jeff Hughes, Both of Duryea.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Debbie Thomas, Moosic. She is the granddaughter of Stanley and Connie Lashevicki, Moosic and Mary Flemming and the late John Thomas, Ohio.
The prospective groom is the son of Richard Hughes, Scranton and Michael and Teresa Finegan, Duryea. He is the grandson of Mary Alessandri and the late Leroy Alessandri, Old Forge and Helen Vitaletti, Scranton.
Amy attended Riverside High School and Empire Beauty School. She is currently pursuing a degree from Penn State University and is co-owner of Stazione Salon and Spa, Old Forge.
Jeff attended Pittston Area High School and is employed by the borough of Duryea. He is also Borough Fire Chief of Excelsior Hose Company, Duryea.
The wedding is set for November 22 at Holy Rosary Church, Duryea.
