Nadine Palermo and Jeffrey Guasto, together with their parents, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Anthony and Florence Palermo of Pittston. She is the granddaughter of Susan and the late Anthony Palermo, West Pittston and the late Stanley and Isabelle Oliveri, Pittston.
The prospective groom is the son of Frank and Terry Guasto of Pittston. He is the grandson of Josephine and the late Samuel Guasto, Pittston and the lateJohn and Rita Soltis, Pittston.
Nadine is a 1999 graduate of Pittston Area High School. She is a 2003 graduate of Boston College where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She earned a Master of Medical Sciences in 2005 from Boston University School of Medicine and is presently a fourth year medical student at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Nadine will begin a residency in Internal Medicine in July and intends to pursue a fellowship in Endocrinology.
Jeff is also a 1999 graduate of Pittston Area High School. He is a 2003 graduate of Lehigh University where he received Bachelor of Science degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Physics. He earned a Master of Science and Doctoral degree in Engineering from Brown University in 2004 and 2008 respectively. Jeff is presently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Physics at Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania.
The couple will exchange vows on February 7, 2009 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittston.
