Jacob and Edith Hufford Nenichka, of Avoca, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 14. They were married in Holy Trinity Church, Swoyersville, now St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.
Mrs. Nenichka is the the daughter of the late Nelson and Edith Hufford, of Luzerne. Mr. Nenichka is the son of the late Joseph and Mary Nenichka, of Swoyersville.
They are the parents of three children and their spouses, son, Jacob and Patricia, of New Jersey; Machelle and Daniel Mecca, of New Jersey; and Karen and Michael Erdek, of Falls.
They have seven grandchildren, Jacob and Kevin Nenichka, NJ and Tiffany and Michael Colantuona, of New Jersey; Nicole and Michael Cortese, of Washington, N.J.; Spec. Daniel Jacob and Astrid Mecca, of Fort Lewis, Washington. Great-grandchildren are Spec. Ryan Michael Erdek, of Fort Campbell, KY; and Kyle Jacob Erdek, of Falls; Michael Giovanni, Jenna Nicole and twin brother Anthony Michael Colantuona, of New Jersey; and Roman Michael and Vincent Anthony Cortese, of Washington, N.J.
A dinner with family will be held in their honor.
