Missionary hermit in the Scranton Diocese. Leading a life of prayer and solitude, he extends his mission to preaching and offering healing Masses for the sick, which draw huge crowds.
St. Monica’s new chapel is under construction in the basement of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. The electrical and lighting work is completed, thanks to Joe Lisiewski. Soon, Jerry Bauman will do the dry wall and painting. After that, carpeting will be installed. Some decoration will be done to make it a place of prayer and meditation.
Divine Mercy Ministryof St. Monica’s will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday evenings.

The Enthronement of the Sacred Heart Guild will have a Mass celebrated at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14 at the parish. The Sacred Heart Singers will begin a prelude at 6:45 p.m. The Enthronement Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Daniel Toomey, spiritual moderator of the Enthronement Guild, and by the Rev.
