St. John’s Lutheran Church, 7 Wood St., Pittston, will hold its 2014 Vacation Bible School from Aug. 4 to 8. Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., with Bible School events scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m.
The church is bringing back Pandamania. Daily themes are “God Made You,” “God Listens to You,” “God Watches Over You,” “God Loves You No Matter What” and “God Gives Good Gifts.” Some of the cast characters are Fez, Amanda, Boomer, Pogo and Lulu.
Bible School is for children ages 3 to 12. It is free and open to everyone and volunteers are still needed. For more information, call Marcia at 570-655-2505. Shown is last year’s VBS participants with the theme Kingdom Rock.
