Tyler McGarry’s two-run double June 22 helped Greater Pittston break a three-game Wyoming Valley American Legion losing streak with an 11-5 victory over Mountain Post.
Greater Pittston, the defending champion, moved back to .500 at 5-5 by beating winless Mountain Post.
Jake Granteed had two hits and scored two runs to support Jeremy Zezza, who pitched a complete game.
Second-place Plains had the week off.

Greater Pittston took sole possession of the Wyoming Valley League Youth (Junior) American Legion lead Monday with a 7-2 victory over Plains.
The teams shared first place heading into the game.
Lucas Jurchak struck out 10 in six innings and Matt Wright worked a scoreless seventh to complete the combined four-hitter for Greater Pittston.
Matt Silinskie had a two-run double while Dylan Spurlin and Dylan Melberger added two-run singles.
Joe Delucca had two hits while Leroy Fehrig and Eric Christian added one each for Plains.
Greater Pittston (15-2) held on to first place by defeating Swoyersville, 6-2, Tuesday and Nanticoke, 3-2, in eight innings Thursday.
Plains (14-3) stayed within a game when it topped Back Mountain, 11-7, Thursday.
Josh Kopcza struck out six in a four-hitter for Greater Pittston against Swoyersville.
Aaron Lee led the offense with two hits. Wright, Brandon Charney and Steve Homza also had hits.
Charney’s third hit of the game, with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth inning, decided Thursday’s game against Nanticoke.
Silinskie added two hits and Sam Giordano doubled.
Wright worked the first six innings and Tyler Jackson got the win with two scoreless innings in relief.
