Ellen Ann Gibbs, 57, of Hughestown, died September 1, 2010 at home after a long illness surrounded by family and friends. She was the wife of Frank Gibbs.
Born May 23, 1953 in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Charles Milazzo and Eileen Engleman Wilce. She graduated from Pittston Area High School and worked as a machine operator at Topps Chewing Gum.
Also surviving are two sons, James Walsh, Hughestown, and Al Walsh with wife Tara Walters-Walsh, Drums; two daughters, Lisa Wesley, Pittston, and Melinda Wesley, West Pittston; four sisters, MaryLou Gula, Linda Weitz, Karen Milazzo, all of Duryea, and Charlene Milazzo, Clarks Summit; four grandchildren, Tyler Wesley, Bryanna Strackbrein, Noah Strackbrein, and Lacy Walsh; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Earl and Mary Engleman; her paternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Milazzo; a niece, Joann Gula; and her best friend, Sandra Mshar.
The funeral was Sept. 4 from the Leonard Funeral Home, Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church, Hughestown. Private interment. Memorial contributions will be accepted by the family.
