Six Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania employee volunteers lent a hand at The Care and Concern Free Health Clinic in Pittston. The volunteers helped clinic staff paint former classrooms that are being renovated into new examination rooms.
The Care and Concern Free Health Clinic opened its door in November 2007 and has since served more than 2,000 uninsured and underinsured patients. A volunteer staff of doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, dieticians, and social service professionals serve patients from throughout Luzerne and Lackawanna counties.
