Bassler Equipment regained first place by winning both matches this week. Also going 2-0 was Roberts’ Repairs. The Bassler boys are led by Joe Chiumento with Tony Russo, Paul Minichelli and Phil Bosha helping out. The Repairmen are Mike Dudziec, Jon Campanella, Chuck Giordano and Doc Campanella. The two teams are schedule to meet next and first place could change again.
The reputation of the quality of play in the Yatesville Bocce League was further enhanced last weekend when Dr. John Cacciamani and Phil Bosha teamed up with Jack and Don Stets of the Bullshead Bocce Club of Scranton to win the 16-team Kingwood, N.J. bocce tournament.
The entire league is rooting for John Grutadauria to pull through his latest medical setback.
