Sixth and eighth-grade students of Holy Rosary School in Duryea recently competed in the National History Day State Competition at Millersville University. Using this year’s theme, Rights and Responsibilities, students researched their topic and presented information in the form of plays, a documentary and exhibits. Two groups placed third in the state and received medals. Sam Marranca and Jillian Warabak were awarded for their documentary as were Holly Daveski, Gianna Galli and Brooke Costanzo for their play.
