In honor of March as National Intellectual Disability Awareness Month, a community event was sponsored by the administration, faculty and student body of Pittston Area High School.
Deputy Secretary Fred Lokuta, PA Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), presented PAHS with a proclamation from Gov. Tom Corbett’s office recognizing the school’s efforts to partner with the Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health and Developmental Services Training Council on Quality in heightening the community’s awareness of the importance of including individuals with special needs in our community.
