HANOVER TWP. – The Hanover Township AmVets Post 59 Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Post, 578 Fellows Ave. All members and guests are welcome.
MOUNTAIN TOP – American Legion Post 781 Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Post Home, 1550 Henry Drive. Executive meeting is at 7 p.m. New members always welcome.
WEST PITTSTON – State Senator John Yudichak reminds area veterans that a Pennsylvania American Legion service officer will be available at his district office 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at 801 Wyoming Ave., Suite 180, West Pittston.
Interested veterans and their spouses are asked to call 570-883-4690 to schedule an appointment.
The officer will assist with government benefits including VA health care, compensation, pension, education and dependent benefits. Surviving spouses can also meet to learn about their eligibility for VA benefits.
