St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 205 N. Main St., Pittston, is taking orders for its annual Feast Day Dinner to be held Sunday, Nov. 16.
Each dinner features two halupki (meat/rice stuffed cabbage rolls) also known locally as “piggies,” mashed potatoes, a vegetable, a side of haluski (sauteed cabbage and noodles), dinner roll, and dessert. Cost per dinner is $15 per person. Homemade potato cheese pierogi, pre-cooked, will also be on sale for $12 a dozen.
Pre-order by Friday, Nov. 14, for pickup Nov. 16 from noon to 3 p.m. Call the order line at 570-654-5349 or Mike at 570-704-6520. Take out in the lower-level church hall, side entrance from the parking lot, next to the church. Pay by cash or check at the time of pick up.
A limited number of dinners may be on hand the day of the event, but ordering guarantees availability.
