Sweatshirts and jeans are recommended for this weekend as chilly temperatures will be coming through the Wyoming Valley, with a freeze watch for this weekend.
The National Weather Service reported that it was 36 degrees at 6:54 a.m. at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre International Airport.
Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 49 degrees, but temperatures will drop drastically tonight as they reach a low of 29 degrees.
The National Weather Service is reporting a freeze watch for the Wyoming Valley from 1 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Sunday as well with a high of 45 degrees and a slight chance of rain before noon before dropping to a low of 27 degrees at night with partly cloudy skies.
Monday will be sunny with a high of 49 degrees and partly cloudy in the evening with a low of 36 degrees.
