NANTICOKE — Carrie Anne MacCollum, West Pittston, recently completed Luzerne County Community College’s six-credit emergency medical technician course.

Coursework included 250 hours of lecture, lab and clinical experience designed to teach students basic life support skills. Upon completion of the course, MacCollum and her classmates became eligible for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians practical and written certification examinations.

Laflin resident Mark Ercolani is director of LCCC’s EMT program, and Exeter’s Darlene Murawski works as the program’s clinical coordinator.
