WEST PITTSTON — Due to the Memorial Day weekend, the Public Works Department will not pick up yard waste on Monday, May 29.
All yard waste will be picked up on Tuesday, May 30.
With the upcoming warm weather and the threat of West Nile Virus, residents are requested to clean their yard waste containers thoroughly.
Any containers weighing over 30 pounds will not be picked up. No animal feces should be placed in yard waste containers.
All containers should be placed at the curb the night before pick up. Residents are requested not to use the large wheel containers with lid and covers. They will not be picked up.
There will be no yard waste pick up Monday, July 3 and Tuesday, July 4 for the Independence Day Holiday. All yard waste will be picked up Monday, July 10 and Tuesday, July 11.
