The parish is now conducting a Thanksgiving Food Drive. Non-perishable food items such as dry stuffing mix, gravy, cranberry sauce, soup, sweet potatoes, vegetables, rice are needed. They can be deposited in the designated containers located in the narthex. The CCD students are invited to participate and bring their donation to Monday evening class. Do not leave anything on the rectory back porch. The church is open daily until noon. Donations benefit the Greater Pittston Food Bank.

The Women’s Society Advent Pierogi Sale will take place Monday, Nov. 13 to Wednesday, Nov. 15. Both potato and cabbage pierogi will be available for $8 per dozen. It is important that you place any and all orders in advance so that the proper amount of ingredients can be ordered. Payment is made at the time of pick-up.

Thanksgiving Day Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 23.

The parish Welcome Committee will host a “Cookie Walk” for the Christmas holiday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 in the church hall. Homemade cookies, fudge and candies will be offered for $7 per pound. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate will be available.

The Annual Harvest Dinner will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12. Take-outs begin at 11 a.m. and sit-down meals begin at 11:30 a.m. This year’s menu will be Italian roasted pork, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy, and apple pie. A cash bar will be available. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children ages six to 12. Children ages five under eat for free. Tickets can be purchased at the parish office, and limited tickets will be available at the door. Call the parish office for more information.

The Care and Concern Free Health Clinic is open every Wednesday and is free of charge. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. in the former Seton Catholic High School and is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Patients for The Pediatric Health Clinic opens at 4:30 p.m. on the first Thursday and third Thursday of the month at the Care and Concern facility, 37 William St. Children’s immunization records are required upon registration. Parents or guardians must be present to have their child examined. All services are free and confidential.

Raffles will be sold for our Specialty Baskets (value $150.+) during the Pasta Dinner. These baskets will be raffled off after our Craft Show, which is being hold the following weekend.

The Specialty Basket Raffle will once again be chanced off at the Craft Show Saturday, Nov. 18 and Sunday, Nov. 19. Donations such as gift cards/certificates to area restaurants, supermarkets, movie theaters, or stores like hardware stores, toy stores, car washes, bath & beauty stores, holiday items, etc. are needed from area businesses and parishioners. Donations of new items can be included in the baskets. Each basket will have a value of at least $150 so we do need a lot of donations. Tickets for the Specialty Baskets will be sold during the pasta dinner Sunday, Nov. 12, the week before the pasta dinner after all Masses and during the craft Show.
