The Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is held from 6 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday in the seminary chapel at St. Joseph’s Oblate Seminary. It includes recitation of the Rosary and opportunity for confessions. Holy Mass is celebrated at 7 p.m., followed by Novena prayers to St. Joseph and St. Joseph Marello, founder of the Oblates of St. Joseph religious congregation. Come and listen to some of the most loved and cherished Christmas carols and hymns at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16. Music will be performed by St. John’s Choir under the direction of Dr. Charles Stevens.

Packets of Christmas wafer (oplatek) are now available at the main entrance of the church for $5. the tradition of he oplatek is that, on Christmas Eve as a family gather to share a meal, they firs break bread and share the Christmas wafer uniting family member and reminding us of the unity we share in the celebration of the Eucharist.

Lottery tickets

Lottery tickets are now available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the rectory for February 2019 at $10 each. Proceeds benefit Holy Name Society projects and the parish. Returns must be in before Jan. 31, 2019 in order to register all tickets.
