Madeline Chervenitski, daughter of Kimberly and Marc Chervenitski Sr., resides in Harding. She is involved with many different school activities, including Drama Club as hair crew and ensemble, Friends of Rachel Club, Concert Band as a flutist, National Honor Society, and Student Council Executive Board. She has also participated in Cheerleading from 9th to 12th grade and was named one of the team’s captains her senior year. Outside of school, Madeline enjoys many hobbies, such as karate. Her favorite subject in school is math because she knows there is always a direct answer, and she loves problem-solving.

Her most memorable moment at Wyoming Area was ringing the bell after the football team had won the state championship her sophomore year. The teacher who influenced her the most is Mrs. Roman. During the pandemic, Madeline had her for Nuclear and Organic Chemistry for online learning. She demonstrated to Madeline that even during those hard times, it was essential to be a good teacher and that when she is older, she can become a great teacher by putting her heart into it like Mrs. Roman. After high school, Madeline plans to attend college at Penn State University to major in Secondary Education and Mathematics and minor in Special Education.

Entering college, she is most looking forward to meeting new people, attending school sports events, and participating in THON. After college, Madeline wants to be a secondary mathematics teacher and positively influence youth while making math fun. She considers her mom to be her role model because she works hard, is successful, and puts their family before anything else. Madeline describes herself as a dedicated, humorous, and kind-hearted person. What she will miss the most after graduating from Wyoming Area is the bosco sticks and warm chocolate cookies at lunch. Her advice to the underclassmen is to take many pictures, enjoy the little things, and not take anything for granted. She is most grateful for the lifelong friendships she made in kindergarten. Lastly, the best advice her parents gave to her is everything happens for a reason.
