PITTSTON — The First Baptist Church, once again, held a free Thanksgiving dinner to all those needing a meal for the holiday. Over 550 meals were handed out or delivered on Tuesday, Nov. 26. The meal consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, cranberries, and a slice of pumpkin pie.

For the second year in a row, Holy Mother of Sorrows Polish National Catholic Church, Dupont, provided kitchen services for the food giveaway.

Rev. Zbigniew Dawid serves as pastor of Holy Mother of Sorrows and Rev. James Breeze is the pastor of First Baptist Church.
