PITTSTON — The City of Pittston will launch its 2025 Sounds of Summer free outdoor concert series kicking off on Friday, June 27 at The Slope Amphitheater featuring the Luongo Brothers from 6 to 8 p.m. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of live music under the summer sky.
The Sounds of Summer series at The Slope, located behind the Pittston Memorial Library, will continue throughout the season, showcasing local talent and bringing the community together through music, art, and shared experiences.
“The Sounds of Summer Concert Series is a perfect reflection of the vibrant arts community we’re working to cultivate in Downtown Pittston,” City of Pittston’s Main Street Manager Mary Kroptavich, said. “These concerts bring people together to enjoy incredible local talent while encouraging them to explore our downtown, whether it’s grabbing dinner, enjoying a drink, or simply soaking in the atmosphere.”
The Luongo Brothers is comprised of Nick, Pat, and Alan Luongo, all members of local favorite The Poets, along with Rich Marmo on drums, the Luongo Brothers deliver a performance filled with timeless classic covers that are sure to get the crowd dancing and singing along.
The Luongo Brothers musical talent, energy, and charisma make them a perfect act to launch this exciting summer tradition.
