PITTSTON — Kevin Casterline had to deal with glitter on his face on Sunday, but it was worth it.

A smiling Casterline, of Pittston, attributed the sparkly annoyance to time spent with his 2-year-old niece, Abigail, at the Santa and Friends event at the American Legion post in Pittston.

Casterline said it was a wonderful time of focusing on the younger set during the Christmas season.

Abigail’s grandmother, Charlotte Casterline, a member of the American Legion, said her granddaughter had been afraid of Santa last year. But as they waited for the jolly old elf to make his way to his spot on the sleigh, she hoped that this year would go better.
