Greater Pittston won four Wyoming Valley League Senior American Legion baseball games in six days to run its winning streak to seven games.
The team, which is 10-2 on the season, has scored in double figures in every game of the streak.
Greater Pittston 13, Mountain Post 3
Nick Innamorati went 3-for-3 from the leadoff spot, and Beau Widdick pitched five innings of one-hit baseball in Thursday’s road win.
Innamorati scored twice and drove in two runs.
Widdick struck out four and walked two.
Gavin Wardecki, Prestyn Reeves, Bruno Pizzano, and Ryan Tonte each had two hits. Pizzano scored twice and drove in two runs.
Wardecki and Dom Salvo doubled.
The game was tied 1-1 after three innings before Greater Pittston scored multiple runs in each of its last four at-bats.
Greater Pittston 14, Back Mountain 3
Josh Barr went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBI Tuesday when Greater Pittston won at Back Mountain.
Beau Widdick doubled, tripled, and scored three runs. Jake Aftewicz tripled, singled, and drove in two runs. Zach Budzak doubled, singled, and drove in two runs. Dom Salvo also had two hits. Cole Ricko drove in two runs.
Ryan Tonte struck out four in three hitless, scoreless innings.
Greater Pittston 11, Back Mountain 1
Beau Widdick tripled, singled, drove in three runs, and scored two Monday to lead Greater Pittston to the home-field victory in five innings.
Nick Innamorati, Zach Budzak, and Ryan Tonte also had two hits.
Innamorati stole three bases and scored three times. Budzak drove in three runs while Tonte drove in two.
Starting pitcher Caleb Pavinski struck out five and allowed just one run in 3 1/3 innings.
Greater Pittston 13, Stripes & Strikes 5
Beau Widdick’s hitting and pitching helped Greater Pittston to the June 27 victory in Hazleton.
Widdick had three hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs while scoring three. He struck out four while pitching 2 1/3 innings without allowing a hit or earned run.
Jake Aftewicz, who scored twice, and Zach Budzak, who drove in two runs, each had three hits.
