All roles are open for an upcoming performance of Cabaret at Phoenix Performing Arts Centre, Duryea.
Director/choreographer Lee LaChette said the performance arts group is seeking candidates ages 14 to 20 to audition for six singing principal roles, three male and three female and for a big ensemble with great dancing for male and female performers.
The production is through special arrangements with Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc., N.Y.
Auditions will be held at Phoenix Performing Arts Centre, 409 Main St., Duryea, Wednesday, May 28, 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, May 29, 6 to 9.
Those wishing to audition should prepare a song of 32 bars (accompanist will be provided, bring sheet music or backtracks on ipod, cd etc.) Also, candidates should wear appropriate dance clothing and shoes. They will be taught a dance combo to perform and also be asked to read from the script.
Show dates are July 25, 26, 27 Aug. 1, 2 and 3.
Musical director is Jenn Johnson.
