The Wyoming Area girls basketball team will participate in the 6th annual NEPA Coaches vs. Cancer event. Wyoming Area will host Lake-Lehman on Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Wyoming Area gym.
The junior varsity team will kick off the event at 5:30 p.m., with the varsity beginning at 7:15.
All players will be wearing pink cancer awareness socks and coaches will wear suits and sneakers. The WA Parents’ Association will have a bake sale, T-shirt sale, 50-50 drawing and Half-Court Contest to win prizes. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society of Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties.
