Stephanie Winters, of Dupont, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bloomsburg University’s College of Education with a Bachelor of Science degree in special Education and Elementary Education.
Winters was on the Dean’s List for eight consecutive semesters and graduated with a 3.98 grade point average. She was a member of the honor’s societies, Phi Kappa Phi and Kappa Delta Pi.
In addition to her academic achievements, Winters was involved in extracurricular activities. She was the Vice Archon of the Bloomsburg Chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma, the fundraising chair of Student Council for Exceptional Children, the membership chair of Pennsylvania Council for Exceptional Children and a member of Best Buddies. Winters also volunteered many hours to the Bloomsburg community.
The daughter of Ryan and Denise Winters, Winters has joined the Danville Area Middle School faculty where she is full-time special education teacher.
