Wyoming Area Education Association of Retirees (WAEA-R) will hold its 12th annual breakfast at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at the Avenue Diner, Wyoming.
Paid reservations for the breakfast buffet are required and are due by Aug. 22. Call the WA Credit Union at 570-693-1339 if planning to attend. The price is $10 which includes a $1 membership dues. Reservation can be withdrawn from CU accounts.
Those who are unable to attend or do not belong to the CU can send a check for the dues or reservation made payable to WAEA-R to WAFCU, 800 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, PA 18644. There will be door prizes and special favors.
Cub Scout pack
to hold registration
Cub Scout Pack 366 will conduct registration from 6:30 to 7:30p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at the West Wyoming Borough Building, Corner of West 8th Street and Shoemaker Avenue, West Wyoming. Scout leaders will be on hand to answer questions, offer an overview of the programs and activities of the pack, and assist with registration.
New and returning registrants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Pack leaders are Barbara Stahley (Cubmaster), Chuck Schell and Michael Sanfilippo. New leaders are being sought. fire department
Wyoming Borough’s fire department is looking for new members for its two volunteer fire departments. Anyone interested may call 570-693-3660 for information.
Compost Yard
The West Wyoming Compost Yard is open to Wyoming residents during during regular business hours Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Yard waste may be taken to the compost yard during these hours. The yard is located behind West Wyoming Hose Company No. 1 on Shoemaker Avenue.
